To all my friends in the United States, Happy Memorial Day! It's unbelievable how June is just a few days away! We've finally got humid days and long nights in my neck of the woods which makes me crave ice cream every hour on the hour. This is the perfect season to catch up on TBR challenges and book club reads since publishing will be taking their mini hiatus. Since I'm a major fan of lists, I put one together with a number of books I want to read this summer!
- Tyler Johnson Was Here: I haven't been good at listening to my audiobooks lately, but I need to do better! I'm definitely going to read this book this summer!
- Nuts: I told myself years ago that I would read this series, I'm pretty sure I have both the ebook and audio file. I'm making a pledge to at least read Nuts within the next 60 days.
- I Believe in a Thing Called Love: This seems like a precious summer read, and it's been on my shelf for far too long!
- Always and Forever Lara Jean: I gotta finish this series before the Netflix premiere! Actually, is the movie based on the first movie or all three movies? I know nothing. Regardless, I'm going to read this, swoon, and bake cookies. In that order.
- Obsidio: I keep seeing mixed reviews for this series finale and I need to know for myself!
- Starfall: I adored Starflight but never picked up Starfall (even though I pre-ordered it). I hope to finally finish this duology by the end of this year!
- Radiance: I bought Radiance after all of the 5-star reviews I saw for it but never had time to squeeze it in. I'm making an effort to squeeze it in this summer though!
- Star-Touched Stories: This is an ARC I'll need to have read by August so what better time than now?
- Toil and Trouble: This is another ARC I need to read, but this book just screams "August" to me. I don't know why, but I want to read it this August.
- Kiss of the Royal: This one I'll have to read sooner than later because it comes out in early July. Regardless, I can't wait to read a romantic YA fantasy!
- Leah on the Offbeat: Last summer I devoured my audiobook of The Upside of Unrequited in July so it only feels right that I give Leah on the Offbeat the same attention!
- Sea Witches: Nothing says 'summer' like books about mermaids! Matt and I are trying to do a weekend getaway at a lakehouse, so you know this one is coming with me.
- Monday's Not Coming: Okay, so I don't own this one yet, but I plan to. NAY, I NEED to! I'm thinking about downloading this as an audiobook, it sounds like it would be a suspenseful listen!
- Hard Hitter: I listened to the first book last year and started listening to Hard Hitter but got distracted. I really want to continue this series, so I'll be making an effort this June!
- Walk of Shame: I've been waiting for hoopla to get the audio copy but it's been foreeevverrrr and I'm getting impatient! If it doesn't magically appear on hoopla by the end of the July, I'm just going to buy it on audible.
What books do you hope to read this summer?
Have you read any of the books I hope to read?
