Les Petites Revues [#5]

I recently devoured the first books in the Bad Bachelor series by Stefanie London and can't wait to read the final installment.

Title: Bad Bachelor (Bad Bachelors #1)
Author: Stefanie London
Genre: Adult | Contemporary | Romance
Rating: 4.25 stars

Bad Bachelor was a ton of fun with a deep emotional pull. Darcy was a local librarian who was tasked with working with a PR firm to host a fundraiser for the library. Darcy did not like Reid, the PR consultant, who dressed like a million bucks (in comparison to her nerdy t-shirts and combat boots) and hadn't stepped in a library in years. The chemistry between the two was immediate and I loved how both characters were too stubborn to give in. There was also a lot of depth on both Darcy and Reid - they both had strained relationships with their family members and they learned how to cope together. I would reread this book in a heartbeat.

Title: Bad Reputation (Bad Bachelors #2)
Author: Stefanie London
Genre: Adult | Contemporary | Romance
Rating: 3 stars

I jumped on Bad Reputation after falling in love with Darcy and her friends in Bad Bachelor. Bad Reputation didn't draw me in like Bad Bachelor, but it was still a solid read. Remy's ballet dreams and her ups and downs made it hard to put this one down, but I wanted a bit more from our leading man, Wes. Wes had family issues too, but nothing on the scale that we saw in Bad Bachelor. Their chemistry was undeniable, but I didn't fall all the way in love with them.
