Musing Mondays [#5]

Q: What distracts you when you really “should be reading”?

Man...everything. This year has not been a good year for me reading...at all. Recently though, school servse as a ridiculous distraction. I am taking two grad courses in English as a Second Language and my profs are all about projects and papers. And to make matters worse, I just started a new job where I teach and it's full time. So education is my entire life right now.

O.O

Here is to hoping that I can read more and maybe actually reach my GoodReads goal....

  1. oh in school i never got any reading done - unless it was for class. So i feel you! and i bet after teaching you have to be too tired to even pick up a book!

  2. except for work, very little distracts me from reading. Which is why my "To Do" list is so, so long.

  3. Wow! You're teaching? That's great. School is a huge time consumer! I had no time for anything during school since I did both work and school fulltime. I think about it now and wonder how in the world I did it in the first place. The four year old isn't mine biologically, but
I love him like he is mine :-) It feels too weird to say he is my stepchild because it doesn't feel like it. I've known him since he was 8 months old and I have known his father for nearly 11 years. That is awesome that Mulan is supposed to be in the second season. This show is amazing!

Yeah you're pretty much that kids mother than! Ah so cute, that sounds like a fun distraction

  4. I did that one year full time job and school. It indeed does not leave much time to relax but do not forget to grab some you time. Good luck with everything.

    1. Yeah, I wake up and teach, on Thursdays I go straight to my classes and learn and then other days I just go straight home and do homework, like now!

  7. That's how my life was like when I was in school... I barely opened a book (well, at least not a recreational book... I opened plenty of text books) for about two years!
